Pat O’Dwyer - Artist
Welcome! - I’m Pat O’Dwyer - and I’m an artist working in oils (particularly with the palette knife) to create colourful Irish seascapes, animal studies and other individual commissions.
I also run workshops to introduce other artists to my palette knife techniques.
Originally from Birr (Co, Offaly), I have lived and worked near Fermoy (Co Cork, Ireland) since 1977.
I have been painting full-time for the last 10 years and I am mainly self-taught.
My preferred medium is oils and I love to use my palette knife to create energy and texture in my paintings.
This is particularly evident in my seascapes and animal paintings. My love of nature and the environment is reflected in the peace and tranquillity of my landscapes.
I am Chairman of Coast Art Collective, and Secretary of the Maclise Art Society.
My work is regularly exhibited at Kilkenny Arts Week, as well as at Kinsale Arts Week and shows in Fermoy and Clonmel.
The majority of my works are commissions, and can be found in private collections in Italy, Australia, Belgium, USA, England and, (of course), Ireland.
Thank you for visiting my website. I do hope you enjoy my gallery. Please contact me if you require any information regarding commissions or courses.
